Services for Joe Mac Woody, 67, of the Elmwood Community will be at 10 am Thursday at Brushy Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Krohn officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

Mr. Woody died Tuesday morning at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

He was born September 10, 1935 in Anderson County to Fred Thomas and Lorine Morrow Woody.

Mr. Woody was a retired truck driver and rancher. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a Methodist.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Woody is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Rena Woody Roquemore and husband Frank Jr. of Palestine, Susan Woody Harris and husband Jeff of Elmwood; son, Sam Woody of Palestine; sister and brother-in-law, Freddie and Rush Herrington of Elmwood; breother and sister-in-law, Homer and Sue Woody of Palestine, grandchildren, Caleb Roquemore, Dustin Woody, Clay Woody, Tate Harris, Kasey Woody and Lacee Harris.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Roquemore, Dustin Woody, Clay Woody, Tate Harris, Frank Roquemore and Jeff Harris. Honoarary pallbearers will be Rush Herrington, Blue Fitzgerald and Bill Graves.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
