A graveside service for Michele Y. Gage, 42, of Salt Lake City, formerly of Palestine, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 13 at Rock Church Cemetery in the Blackfoot community near Palestine with the Rev. Paul Thomasson of the First United Methodist Church of Carthage officiating.

Michele passed away on Friday, October 5, 2007 in the West Valley City community of Salt Lake City.

She was born on February 26, 1965 in Palestine, Texas to Ray and Dorothy Marie Thornton Gage.  Michele grew up in Palestine and graduated from Palestine High School. She worked as a service representative for Direct TV in the Salt Lake City area.  She had just recently moved to Salt Lake City from Nacogdoches. She enjoyed animals, especially her kitties.  Michele was preceded in death by her father.

Michele is survived by her mother, Marie Gage of Carthage; two brothers, Frankie Gage of Argentina and Michael Sean Gage and wife Gena of Nacogdoches; one sister, Linda Herod and husband Jack Jr. of the Long Branch community near Carthage; one niece, Theresa Gage of Austin; and two nephews, Jackson Herod and Dirk Gage both of Nacogdoches.
