Services for Brent Wyman Gouras, 20, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church with the Revs. David Price and E.E. Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Park under the direction of Herrington Land of Memory.

Mr. Gouras died Wednesday at his home.

He was born December 7, 1969, in Houston, a son of Nicky D. and Sharon Smith Gouras. He had lived in Palestine for 12 years and was a 1988 graduate of Palestine High School, where he lettered in basketball. He was a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church and a student at Trinity Valley Community College.

He is survived by his parents of Palestine; a brother, Christopher Gouras of Palestine; and grandmother, Mrs. Vernon Smith of Palestine.

Condolence calls will be received from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Totah, Grant Skrepnek, Shawn Smith, Michael Wallace, Glenn Young and Stan Wages.
