Services for David Bruce Barber, 23, of Tyler, will be held privately for family members at Herrington/Land of Memory. His body will be cremated.

Mr. Barber died Thursday in a car accident in Tyler.

He was born on March 3, 1973, in Austin, to Bruce and Brenda Wilson Barber. He graduated from Palestine High School in 1991 and lived in Palestine most of his life.

Mr. Barber was an Eagle Scout and a member of First United Methodist Church. He was employed in the oilfield industry

He is survived by his parents, of Palestine; sister, Casey Barber of Tyler; and grandparents, George and Virginia Barber Jr. and Fletcher and Margie Wilson, all of Jacksonville.
