Services for Jan-Paul Snikkers Murphy, 18, of Palestine, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at his home. Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Jacksonville.

Mr. Murphy died Saturday in an automobile accident in Cherokee County.

He was born April 13, 1976, in New York, N.Y., and was a freshman at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens. He was a Protestant.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Murphy, of Palestine; half brother, Thomas B. Murphy of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Emily E. Murphy of Palestine; half-sister, Sharon M. Murphy of San Francisco; and grandmother Jocoba C. Snikkers, of Schagen, Holland.

Memorials may be made to Palestine Public Library.
