Services for Scott Putnam, 27, of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Barry Roberts officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. in Forest Park Cemetery at Greenville. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mr. Putnam died Wednesday in a local hospital.  He was born October 17, 1978, in Greenville to Jackie Putnam and Karen Winengar. Mr. Putnam graduated from Palestine High School in 1997.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Billy Joe Winengar.

He is survived by his mother, Karen McLeod of Texarkana; father, Jackie Putnam and wife Terri of Palestine; grandparents, Jackie and Lola Putnam of Palestine; grandmother, Mamie Jo Winengar of Greenville; sister, Ashley Welling of Tyler; brother, Robert Putnam of Greenville; aunt and uncle, Denise and Terry Bradshaw; and cousins, Erin Brooks and Andria Zabransky.

Condolence calls will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. Family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 823, Palestine, Texas 75803.
