Services for Janice M. Ives, 52, of Houston will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Linda Herron and Judge Bascom Bentley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
Ms. Ives died Monday at her residence.
She was born November 21, 1953, in Gallup, N.M. to Forrest Howard and Irene Lipscomb Ives.
Ms. Ives graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1976 and received a Master of Architecture Degree from Texas A&M University in 1983. She was employed with Gensler, architectural firm, and was formerly associated with Morris Architects, Irvine Associates, and 3D/ International.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Ms. Ives is survived by her mother, Irene Lipscomb Ives of Palestine; sisters, Shirley McMurray and husband Jerry, Karen Fitzgerald and husband Curtis, all of Palestine; her twin sister, Janet Lambright Bridge and husband Jack of Houston; brother, Mark Ives and wife Tammie of Diboll; and numerous nieces and nephews; and her special cocker spaniel, Alex.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Fitzgerald, Winston Ives, Bobby Stovall, Harold Sumrall, J.J. Libscomb and Johnathan Gordon.
Condolence calls will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
