Funeral services for Rodney Bruce Oliver, 28, of Westminster, California., formerly of Palestine, are pending at Hassell and Foster Funeral Home here.

He died in a Westminster Hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Oliver was born September 6, 1953 in Palestine, a son of Charles B. Oliver and Bonnie Mason Mundy. He attended Palestine High School and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs.Charles Oliver, Jr., of Palestine; his mother, Mrs. Bonnie Mundy of Westminster, California; four sisters, Mrs. William (Sherry) Brown, Debra Woodard, and Mrs. Tommy (Beverly) Richmond, all of Palestine and Mrs. Brad (Brenda) Watson of Tyler, and three nieces.

Condolence calls will be received at the Charles Oliver residence, and the William Brown residence.
