Services for Claude Poole, 81, of Palestine will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crockett Road Church of Christ with Dan Manuel and Archie Waldrum officiating.  Burial will be at Land of Memory under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.  Mr. Poole died Monday at a Tyler hospital. He was born in Palestine on February 11, 1913 to Herbert and Maggie Huffman Poole.  He was a carman for Missouri Pacific Railroad.  Mr. Poole was a member of Crockett Road Church of Christ and a charter member of Anderson County Riding & Robing Club.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Seagler Poole of Palestine; daughter, Mrs. Max (Joy) Pyle of Fort Worth; sisters, Mary Callaway, Mildred “Tut” Toole and June Woolverton, all of Palestine, and Audrey Harris of Harmony; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Harry Toole, Jerry Toole, Dennis Michael Toole, Eddie Harris, Jeff Harris, Mark Woolverton, Jim Woolverton, Ben Poole, Larry Seagler, Dwain Seagler and Jack Calcote.

Condolence calls will be received from 7 – 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
