Funeral services for Gene Rogers 56 of Elkhart, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at Bailey & Foster Chapel Palestine with Pastor David Gregg officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.

Mr. Rogers passed away Monday at his residence. He was born August 8, 1954 in Palestine, to Floyd Rogers and Geraldine Cannon. He graduated from Palestine High School in 1972 and worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad for sixteen years. He was a CRNA employed at Henderson Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Augusta Masonic Lodge and was an avid hunter who enjoyed hunting with his granddaughter.

Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife of 37 years Janice Massey Rogers of Elkhart, mother Geraldine Cannon of Palestine, father Floyd Rogers of Palestine, daughters Amy Johnston and husband Brandon of Flint and Amanda Rogers of Elkhart, brother Rickey Rogers and wife Angie of Fredericksburg and grandchildren Presley and Parker Jo Johnston.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Johnston, Preston Massey, Josh Pyeatt, David Pyeatt, Chad Charpentier and Ronnie Foster.

Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Bailey & Foster.
