Janie Walling Lowman 1963
02/ 18 / 1945 – 09 / 08 / 2010Janie Lee (Walling) Lowman, age 65, of San Antonio, Texas died September 8, 2010 in San Antonio. Burial was in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.Janie selflessly donated her body to medical science research, particularly for the study of Friedreich’s Ataxia. Janie was born February 18, 1945 in Ralls, Texas to John Paskel Walling and Faye Denson Walling. She was a strong Christian woman with a beautiful spirit and a sustaining faith in God.She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sandra Kay Walling, and Patricia Walling Dhabolt; and brothers, John Paskel Walling Jr., and Bennie L. Walling.She is survived by her loving husband, William “Bill” Lowman; children, Katrina and husband Travis, and William Anthony Lowman; and brothers, Allen and Gerald.
Memorial service for Janie will be September 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the HOPE Center UPC Church at 4545 W Loop 1604 N, San Antonio, Texas 78257.
All are welcome to celebrate Janie’s life as she passes to our great reward that we all believe in. There will not be any body or casket as Janie had donated her body to science hoping for a cure.
The family of Janie request that a donation of any amount be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Janie was one of Jerry’s kids and she received help from them.
