Services for Linda Gayle McDowell, 66, of Montalba will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bailey and Foster Chapel in Palestine with Dan Manuel, Bud Magee and Craig Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Land of Memory Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.Mrs. McDowell died Thursday at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. She was born April 4, 1943 in Montalba to Robert Lewis and Arlene Beatrice Poff Kimbrough. Mrs. McDowell was a secretary for many years for Hoyt Johnston. She was a member of the Montalba Christian Church. Mrs. McDowell was the foundation upon which her family was based. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. McDowell is survived by her husband, Don Bolton; a daughter, Angie Dean and husband Mickey; a son, David McDowell and wife Susanna; a brother, Jackie Kimbrough; and sisters Becky Magee, Grace Madewell and Hilda Graham, all of Palestine; five grandchildren, Ashley Napier, Tiffany Gonzales, D.J. McDowell, Samantha Jo Douglas and Kristina Main; four great-grandchildren, Jon-Michael Mahon, Kevin Napier, Khristian Roberts and Gunner Douglas. She is also survived by stepchildren, Thomas Bolton, Roy Bolton and wife Karen, all of Palestine, Donnie Bolton and wife Beth of Lewisville, Lynn Bender of Pearland, and Patsy Padon of Houston.

Pallbearers will be Rand Magee, Chris Kimbrough, Greg Bolton, Rick Bolton, Joe Allen and Robert James. Honorary pallbearer will be Orville Patton.
