Services for Bob Mitchell, Jr., 39, of Palestine, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clay Piatt and Dan Manuel officiating.  Burial will be at Roselawn Park.

Mr. Mitchell died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson County Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Palestine on October 28, 1948, son of Bob Sr. and Wanda Richardson Mitchell.  He graduated from Palestine High School in 1967 and attended Texas Tech University and The University of Texas at Austin.  He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.  He was a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church and was owner and president of Bob Mitchell, Inc.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Hood Mitchell of Palestine; daughter, Allyson Ann Mitchell, and son, Adrian Marvin Mitchell, both of Palestine; his parents of Palestine; sisters, Gayla Mitchell Miller of England and Elaine Mitchell Williams of Palestine; grandmother. Iva Dillard of Montalba; and numerous aunts, uncles and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Charles Hawn, David Killion, Ken Leggett, Danny Rampy, James E. Perry, Cliff Johnson, Bascom Bentley III, Tom Broyles, Mark Hood, Col. John Miller, Jimmy Williams, Mitchell Ray, Dr. Robert McFarland and Dr. Alec Law.
