Sandra C. Brown, 65, of Pflugerville, formerly of Tyler, passed away surrounded by her family on Aug. 12, 2009.Born Jan. 18, 1944, in St. Louis, Mo., Sandra was the daughter of Lester and Edna (Kochendorfer) Cool. She graduated from Jennings High School in St. Louis and in 1966 graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing. She married Chester “Chet” E. Brown in 1966. She and her family made 12 moves across the United States with Chet’s career. During that time, Sandra volunteered in the boys’ schools, assisted with Scouting activities, and was active in their church, before going back to work as a dermatology nurse for a General Dermatologist/MOHS Surgeon. Sandra developed various interests over the years, some of which included tennis, cross-country skiing, camping and fishing with the family. Family was everything to Sandra.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 43 years; two sons, Chad E. Brown and wife Karen and Ryan M. Brown; two granddaughters, 8-year-old Chloe and 5-year-old Ally, both are “Pure Joy,” brother, Lester R. Cool Jr. and wife Earlene; brother-in-law, Todd G. Brown and wife Susan; and mother-in-law, Mary E. Brown. Sandra also leaves many nieces, nephews, and dear friends made during their moves across the United States. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at Tyler Memorial Park in Tyler. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested toSusan G.
