Patsy Jean Farrow Randle 1958

Services for Patsy Jean Farrow Randle, 57, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Smale officiating.  Her body was cremated under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Randle died Monday at her home. She was born In Henderson on Feb. 7, 1940, to Thomas Henry and Pauline Christine Colley Farrow.  She graduated from Palestine High School in 1958, Droughon’s Business College in Dallas in 1959 and John Powers Modeling School in 1959.

Mrs. Randle lived in Tripoli Libya, N. Africa in 1969; Cairo, Egypt in 1975; and Madrid, Spain in 1978.  She returned to Palestine in 1979.  She worked as a temporary rural mail carrier for the U. S. Post Office and worked for 12 years at Grace United Methodist Church.

She did volunteer work for the American Cancer Society, helping to form a Dialogue Support Group and working with the Reach to Recovery Program.  She helped begin a support program for mothers of newborns called “Wee Care” through Grace Church and the Texas Conference.  She also worked as a legal secretary.

Mrs. Randle was preceded in death by her father, and a sister, Shirley Farrow Moss.  She is survived by her husband, James C. “Randy” Randle of Palestine; daughter, Christina Randle of Rowlett; sons, James Coy Randle, Jr. of Marshall and Russell Troy Randle of Elkhart; mother, Pauline Christine Colley Farrow; sister, Joanne Farrow of Berryville; brothers, James Thomas Farrow of Frankston and David Henry Farrow of Tyler; and eight grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Society of St. Stephens, % Grace United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 319, Palestine, 75802.  Friends also are requested to bring a favorite picture of Mrs. Randle to the memorial service to add to the family photographs in front of the alter.
