Graveside services for Marvin E. Ellis, 64, of Tyler were held March 16, at Broyles Chapel Cemetery near Palestine with Brother Doug Anderson and Dennis Ivey officiating, under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Mr. Ellis passed away on March 11 in Whitehouse.

Mr. Ellis was born July 24, 1940, in Oakwood to Richard Oliver and Betty Lou Lee Ellis. He was in the finance-loan business, and co-owner of Advance Loan Inc./The Pawn Shop. He was a member of Rose Heights Church.

He is survived by his wife, LaVonda Ellis of Emerald Bay; daughter Lisa Rodgers and husband Dean of

Whitehouse; sons, Richard Ellis of North Richland Hills and Mike Ellis of Tyler; brother Billy Ellis of Tyler; mother, Betty Lou Ellis of Palestine; and eight grandchildren.
