Services for Marie Boykin, 49, of Pittsburg and former resident of Athens, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bethel Baptist Church in Pittsburg.

The Rev. Doyle Rust will officiate.

Graveside services are scheduled for 3 p.m. at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens.

Mrs. Boykin died Thursday at Pittsburg Medical Center after a long illness.

She was a housewife and a member of the East Texas Writers Association.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Boykin, Pittsburg; a son, Randy Boykin, Pittsburg; two daughters, Rhonda Thompson, Jacksonville, AR, and Alechia Johnson, Shreveport, LA; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Ricks, Athens; three granddaughters; one grandson; five brothers, Harvey Ricks, Athens, Bobby Ricks, Midlothian, Edwards Ricks, Ennis, Thomas Ricks, Mineola, and Donny Ricks, Tool; and a sister, Hazel Webb, Athens.
