Funeral services for Julius C. “Buzz” Schwab, 72, of Katy will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Msgr. Zach officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.

Mr. Schwab died Wednesday in Katy.

He was born Sept. 27, 1938 in Palestine to Vernon and JoHanna Langenegger Schwab.

Mr. Schwab was an expeditor for Brown & Root and a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. He loved bird watching, fishing and hunting.

Mr. Schwab was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Schwab of Katy; daughters, Rebecca Copeland and husband Aaron and Tiffany Matio and husband Carll, all of Katy; son, Eric Schwab and wife Julie of Centerville; sister, Mary Alice Pridgen; brother, Andre Schwab; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Pridgen, Russell Pridgen, Matthew Pridgen, Jake Schwab, Donald Seale, Dickey Seale, John Barry Schwab and Gary Rainey.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today with a Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Bailey & Foster Chapel, Palestine.
