Services for Glenn Morris Reed, 47, of Lone Star were this morning at First Baptist Church in Lone Star with the Rev. Lawrence Thompson Jr. officiating.  Burial was in Iron Bluff Cemetery in Lone Star under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield.

Mr. Reed died Friday in a Lone Star hospital after a brief illness.

He was born March 17, 1940 in Neches, a son of J.E. and Ida Mae Reed.  He lived in Morris County for the past nine years and had previously worked in the oil field around Palestine.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lone Star.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Reed of Lone Star, sons, David Reed of Elkhart, Daryell Reed of Texarkana, and Donnie Reed of Hawaii, daughter, Glenda Reed of Palestine; stepsons, Steve Staples of Lovelady and Dwayne Staples of Daingerfield; parents; brother, Robert Reed of Plano, Wendell Reed of Castle Rock, CO, Melvin Reed of Pasadena, Vernon Reed of Lone Star and William Reed of Houston; sisters, Caroline Haney of Houston, Edna Thomas of Alabama, Becky Honzell of Louisiana; nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
