Lavone Mack Lovern 1950

Lavone Lovern, 73, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2005 at a local hospital. She was a former resident of Oceana, Calif. for 14 years and Gretna, La. for the past 10 years. She recently moved to The Colony after being evacuated from Hurricane Katrina where she lived with her youngest son.
Lavone was born in Palestine on December 20, 1931 to Jesse and Wilma Mack. She was very active in charity fund-raising events with the VFW and Moose Clubs in California.
Lavone is survived by two sons, Randy Lovern and wife Kim of The Colony and Terry Lovern of Carrollton; brother, Delton Mack and wife Helen of Magnolia; as well as six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 9, 2005 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 148 W. Church St. in Lewisville, Texas 75057. Per Lavone’s wishes, her ashes will be scattered over her mother’s grave in Palestine. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Lewisville is in charge of arrangements.
