Services for J.Q. “Bub” Walston, 55, of Palestine, will be Wednesday a.m. at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Fred Neal officiating. Mr. Walston died Monday at his home. He was born October 8, 1946 in Anderson County to J.W. and Lilian Modine Knight Walston. Mr. Walton was a brakeman with the railroad for 26 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Virginia Nash.
Mr. Walston is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda Walston of Palestine; daughters, Denice Rutledge of Elkhart and Donna Blythe of Palestine; sisters, Sue Yorgensen of Jewett, Linda Kay Manning of Fort Worth, Nelia Lewis of Trinidad, and Dorothy Jean Lankster of Wildwood, GA; and 4 grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Delbert Cavender, Larry Ollett, James Young. R.E. McDonald, Butch Travis and Clay Shugart.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 – 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
