Funeral services for Louis James “Jim” Flanagan, Jr., 33 of Palestine will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Bailey Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Davis and Rev. Doug Blanton officiating. Burial will be in New Addition Cemetery.
Mr. Flanagan died Monday in the Tyler Medical Center Hospital after being in an automobile accident Saturday. He graduated from Palestine High School in 1965 and attended Texas Tech University. He was active in the real estate business in Palestine with his father, late L.J. Flanagan, Sr. He was a past member of Palestine Rotary Club, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Palestine and was associated with Commtron Electronics in Houston.
Survivors include a son, Jamie Scott Flanagan; daughter, Melanie Lynn Flanagan both of Tyler; mother, Mrs. Louis J. (Betty) Flanagan of Palestie, and a sister, Mrs. Stephen (Lou) Sutton of Star Harbor.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Fitzgerald, Buster McCall, Bobby Collins, Larry Davis, Larry Redding, Ed Jorgenson, Larry Miller and Bill Bradley.
