Services for Jack Haney, 69 of Emerald Bay will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Emerald Bay Community Church with the Rev. Leonard Malone officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Park under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine
Mr. Haney died Friday at his residence in Emerald Bay. He was born October 28, 1931 in Odom to Milton and Lois Haney.
Mr. Haney served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He received his BBA from Sam Houston State University at Huntsville in 1958. He was an accountant for Mapco of Tulsa, Oklahoma for 19 years. He retired from the oil business in 1986 and moved back to his native Texas. He went to work for Southwest Airlines of Dallas after a few years of retirement. He retired from the airlines in October 1996 and moved to Emerald Bay on Lake Palestine where he was a member of the MGA and Emerald Bay Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Haney of Bullard; sons, Stan Haney of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Steve Haney of Palestine; brother, Bill Haney of Palestine; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ken Liles, Gene Hunt, Walter Dunn, Joe Long, Pat Herrington and Richard Russell.
