Funeral services for Ernest Bice, 50, of Palestine will be at 10 A.M. Friday in Hassell & Foster Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Knight officiating. Burial will be in Ferguson Cemetery.  Mr. Bice died Wednesday morning.

He was born May 4, 1930 in Tulia, a son of Mrs. Janie Byrd Bice and the Late Johnny Bice. A resident of Palestine for 37 years, he was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, and was active in Boy Scouts of America.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Honeycutt Bice of Palestine; his mother, Mrs. Janie Byrd Bice of Palestine; four sons, Ernest T. Bice Jr. of San Antonio, Johnny M. Bice, Mark Dean and Michael Dean, all of Palestine; a daughter, Madyln Dean of Palestine; three brothers, Woodrow Bice of Tulia, Henry Bice of Edinburg and Clarence Bice of Palestine.
