Services for Imogene Sharp O’Neal, 79, of Palestine will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Bailey and Foster Chapel, Palestine with Rev. Donovan Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

Mrs. O’Neal went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.  She was born March 5, 1929 to Arthur C. and Trilby Ann May Sharp. Mrs. O’Neal was a nurse and worked for Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. O’Neal was preceded by her parents; her husband Hal Everett O’Neal in 2004; a son, Hal David O’Neal in 1951; and two sisters, Virginia Kelly and Mary Wynn.

She is survived by her daughter Joy Lee Adamcik and husband Larry of Palestine; a son, Hal Philip O’Neal and wife Charla of Elkhart; three grandchildren, Landon O’Neal, Jacob O’Neal and Destanie Adamcik. Mrs. O’Neal leaves behind many friends. She was a help mate to many and a joy to everyone who was fortunate to know her.

Pallbearers will be Larry Adamcik, Keith Crawford, Keith Sims, Jamie Miller, Earnest Vasquez, and H.C. Langston. The congregation of Calvary Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.Memorials may be made to the Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX. 75701.
