Services for J. Robert “Bob” Wylie, 65, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bailey & Foster with the Rev. Dutch Conditt officiating. Burial will be at Rock Church Cemetery.

Mr. Wylie died Friday in Palestine.  He was born June 30, 1929, in Huntsville, to William E. and Virgie Pearl Burke Wylie.

Mr. Wylie was a member of the Swanson Hill United Methodist Church. He was first employed with Missouri-Pacific Railroad in 1947 and worked in the car shops until 1958, when he went to work for Knox Glass Containers in maintenance until its close in 1984. He then went to work for Anderson County Garage in 1985 and was shop foreman at the time of his death. He was a member of the Texas National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, William E. Wylie.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Lois Alford Wylie of Palestine.

Friends will be pallbearers. Condolence calls will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
