Jeanne Dunn Joyce went to be with our Lord on June 17, 2006, at her daughter’s home in Colorado with her family at her side. She was born November 9, 1928, in Calvert, Texas, to Fred and Winiford Belle Hinsely Dunn. She married Jerry Joyce (Claude Gerald Joyce Jr.) on June 11, 1949, at First United Methodist Church in Palestine, Texas.

Her appreciation and love for language, writing and art will always be remembered by those who knew her well. She enjoyed teaching English at the Palestine Christian School, Sunday School and Bible studies. Although she had been battling cancer for many years, her devotion has been to her family.
