Services for Don Hodges Jr. 66, of Palestine will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. David Price officiating. Burial will be at New Addition Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mr. Hodges died Tuesday in a Palestine hospital.

He was born in Palestine on October 10, 1927 to Don and Lillie Bess Wright Hodges, Sr. He was a graduate of Texas A & M University.

Mr. Hodges had taught at Palestine High School, and was a member of Texas State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was a member of St. Philip’s Vestry and secretary-treasurer at St. Philip’s.

He is survived by his companion, Jo Ann Luker of Palestine; daughter, Lisa Marcum of Midland; sons, Don Hodges III of Norwalk, Connecticut, and Dr. Kurt Boyd Hodges of Nashville, Tennessee; brother Henry A. Hodges of Palestine; and two grandsons.

Pallbearers will be Ernest Swift, Bobby Totah, Tom Colley, Charles Robinson, Walter Johnston Jr., and Charles A. Palmer.

Condolence calls will be received from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. Philip’s Episcopal Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
