Services for Adrian Alford, 80, of Palestine will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Bailey and Foster Chapel with Bill Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in Starr Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

Mr. Alford died Wednesday at Cartmell Home. He was born January 31, 1928 in Anderson County to George Alfred and Lottie Rogers Alford. Mr. Alford was a member of the Swanson Hill United Methodist Church. He worked as a machinist for the railroad and was a retired maintenance supervisor from Calhoun Packing. Mr. Alford was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Janice Alford, in 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Carla Cubstead and husband Mike of Palestine; sons, Allen Alford and Robin of Blue Ridge, and Darrell Alford and wife Vicki of Palestine; sisters, Anita Wylie of Palestine and Eurita Rieger of Sweetwater; brother, Virgil Alford of Slocum; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tom Calhoun, Jeff Hutton, Gary Todd, James B. Strube, Cody Alford and Craig Alford.

Condolence calls will be received from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.
