Funeral services for Spec. 4th Class Thomas Darrell Williamson, 22, who was killed in Viet Nam on January 29, 1966 will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in Hassell & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Charles Taylor and the Rev. George Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Land of Memory Cemetery with graveside military honors accorded by servicemen from Fort Hood.
Cousins will serve as pallbearers at the chapel.
Born at Mertens, Texas in Hill County on August 14, 1943, he had spent most of his life in Palestine.
Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Williamson of Palestine; a brother, Luther Lenn Williamson of Palestine; three sisters, Mrs. Sonny Byrd of Dallas, Mrs. Joe Lee Hall of Palestine and Miss Linda Pauline Williamson of Palestine; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Williamson of Hillsboro and Mrs. W. R. Perry of Mertens.
The body will be at Hassell & Foster upon arrival in Palestine early Friday morning.
