Jimmy Joe Manning, 62, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 2, 2007.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Blessing Funeral Home, 401 Elm St. in Mansfield. Burial will follow 2:30 p.m. today at Land Of Memories Cemetery in Palestine.

His pallbearers are Tommy, Ricky, Danny and Johnny Horton, Frank Herman and Kerry Vondrak.

Jimmy Joe was born on August 27, 1945, in Leon County, the son of J.E. and Louise Manning. He worked all his life for his family. He loved being outdoors.

All who knew him loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.E. Manning; and grandson, Troy Earl.

Survivors including: his wife, Linda K. Manning of Fort Worth; children, Chris and Liz of Fort Worth, Barbara and Darin of Illinois, James Edward and Ruth Ann and Jennifer and Darrill of Fort Worth; stepchildren, James and Nikkie of Fort Worth, Debra Ann, Gregg and Crissy and Garry, all of Houston; grandchildren, Justin, Amanda, Chelsea, Tyler, Kristina, Jimmy Joe, Jade, Samuel and Zeth; his mother, Louise Manning; sisters, Sue Morris and Donna Davis; brother, Eddie Don; and a host of friends at Horton Tree Service and NES.
