Just wanted to let you know I finally found my high school teacher, Mr. Andrew “Drew”  Frantzen, Jr. (1964) on your website.  It seems I am too late to thank him; you see, he was the inspiration for me becoming a history teacher.  He was the best teacher I ever had at Tarkington High School–I had him for History, Government and Spanish.  I also had his wife Janis, for math all through high school–she was also wonderful.  He made me love history and government (I majored in history and minored in political science)–I wonder if he ever knew how much he influenced so many of us.  He is still in my thoughts whenever I teach my students (at Huffman Middle School now); and I try to instill in them the same principles he used to give to us.  I hope he would be proud to know I am currently earning my master’s degree as well. I remember the ducks he used to carve–every time I see one, it reminds me of him.   I will always honor and respect the brilliant man he was.  If there was ever a teacher who gave his all, it was “Drew” Frantzen.  I know God has provided a resting place for him in Heaven and I cannot wait to see him again to talk about history.
Best regards,
