Graveside services for Carolyn (Henry) Prater of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Rock Church Cemetery in Blackfoot with Dr. Edward Davis officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Carolyn died April 19, 2006, in Baton Rouge, La. following a brief illness.  Carolyn was born November 15, 1945.  She was a member of Walston Springs Baptist Church.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, H.N. “Dink” and Marjorie Henry; her husband, James Prater; and sister, Judy Stringfield.

She is survived by two daughters, Stacey Prater and Mindy Prater, both of Palestine; three brothers, Robert Henry of Baton Rouge, La., C.W. Henry of Alice and Michael Henry of Centerville; and five grandchildren, Russell Linderman, Jake Prater Golightly, Cameron Prater, Jaron Prater and Kayla Dyess. She also is survived by several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Stringfield, Phil Smith, Fred Smith, Mike Watts and Kenny Prater.
