Services for Ronald George Hemby, 53, of Dallas and formerly of Palestine, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ellis Chapel of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas with the Rev. Leroy Summers officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park under the direction of Restland Funeral Home.

Mr. Hemby died Friday in Dallas after a long illness.

He was born June 24, 1944 in Palestine to Anne and Edgar Hemby.

He was a Teamster for many years with Local 745 and owned his own landscaping company. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Mimi Hemby of Dallas; son, Shane Hemby of Dallas; daughter, Stacey Hemby of Dallas; brothers, Eddie Hemby of Palestine and Don Hemby of Lake Jackson; and sister, Emma Anne Frazier of Burke, Virginia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home.
