Services for Lewis Henry “Rusty” Droby Jr., 60, of Frankston, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Neches with the Rev. Charles Grasty and the Rev. Ray Parton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home of Palestine.
Mr. Droby died Thursday at his residence. He was born October 28, 1944 in Palestine to Lewis Henry Droby Sr. and Novas Ada Richards Droby.
Mr. Droby was a member of the First Baptist Church of Neches. He attended Lon Morris College and Stephen F. Austin University. Mr. Droby was employed with Union Pacific Railroad as a claims agent. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Droby is survived by his wife, Phyllis Patton Droby of Frankston; daughter, Lisa Drafahl and husband David of Crockett; son, Paul Droby of Waco; a sister, Annetta Jet and husband Kenneth Emmons of Tyler; and five grandchildren.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ronald McDonald House, the local Welfare Board of Palestine, or One Church One Child, 1197 Corley, Beaumont, Texas 77701.
