Services for Sara Derrington Huffman, 61, of Palestine will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Josh Ponder officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood City Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.

Ms. Huffman died Monday at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.

She was born October 11, 1944 in Palestine to Felix W. and Mary Kate Lipsey Derrington.

Ms. Huffman was a bank teller and employed with First Convenience Bank.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Ms. Huffman is survived by her mother, Mary Kate Courtney of Palestine; a daughter, DeAnn Sears and husband Bruce of Skaneateles, N.Y.; a son, John Kennedy and wife Kelli of Katy; a brother, Michael Derrington and wife V.J. of Conroe; three grandchildren, Kyla Sears, Zachary Sears and Jessica Kennedy.

Pallbearers will be Douglas J. Lipsey, M.R. Lipsey III, Brent B. Boswell, Joe Harding, Bubba Lipsey, Garland Ray Lipsey, Tim Harding and Chris Duggan.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
