Funeral services for Jerrell E. Marsh, 62, of Elkhart will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel with the Revs. Ross Cunningham and Bill Gernenz officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory.

Mr. Marsh died in a Houston hospital on Friday.  He was born January 14, 1944 in Palestine to Frank and Grace Odom Marsh. He had lived in Palestine all his life and was a member of the Elkhart Baptist Church.

Mr. Marsh was retired from Missouri-Pacific Railroad and had been a mason and a shriner. He had been a volunteer for many years at the Stock Pot. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Marsh was preceded in death by his father, Frank; step-father, Bill Dressell; mother, Grace; and a son, Chad Eugene Marsh.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Marsh of Elkhart; sons, David Marsh of Bullard and Jerrell Todd Marsh of Elkhart; daughters, Dawn Poche, Denise Ragus, and Dyan McLain, all of Oak Grove, La.; and 10 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad Steely, Randy Shaver, Donald Shaver, Gary Wynn, Jonathan Walling, Jerry Nowlin, Joel Franklin and Jerry Pat Francis.

The family will receive condolences from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
