Kilgore – Services for Leroy Dawson Elrod, 47, of Kilgore and formerly of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rader Funeral Home chapel in Kilgore. Burial will follow at Gaines Cemetery in Palestine.

Mr. Elrod died Friday at Roy H. Laird Memorial Hospital.  He was born June 7, 1944, in Palestine. He was a longtime employee of Davis Kemp Tool Co.

He is survived by his sons, Derik Elrod and Trace Elrod, both of Kilgore; mother, Bessie Elrod of Palestine; a sister, Elsie Bice of Palestine; and a brother, Rodney Elrod of Lindale.
