Services for Gay Lynn Jones, 53, of Palestine, will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Church with the pastors Don Mattern Sr. and Jack Smith Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory.

Mrs. Jones died Sunday at her home in Palestine. She was born July 28, 1944, in Athens, to L.E. Burden Jr. and Vivian Burden Wooley. She graduated from Palestine High School in 1962 and lived in Anderson County most of her life.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Hillcrest World Harvest Church. She was a medical clerk.

She is survived by her husband of 18 1/2 years, Robert W. Jones of Palestine; mother, Vivian H. Wooley of Palestine; son, Jimmy Wayne Chambers of Palestine; daughter, Lou Ann Morris of Harleton; brothers, Lee Wayne Burden of Sanger and Joe Glenn Burden of San Antonio; sisters, Elaine Bradshaw of Houston and Jonnie Battle of Irving; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charles Odom, Charles Rhodes, Jack Smith Jr., Larry Morris, Cliff Battle, Oarren Goodman, James Johnson and Frank Bohannon.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
