Corpus Christi – Services for Thelton Calvert “T.C.” Morton Jr., 49, of Humble, and formerly of Palestine, were at 1 p.m. today at Cage-Mills Funeral Home in Corpus Christi. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Odem.

Mr. Morton died Sunday in a Corpus Christi hospital.

He was born in Sinton, on July 29, 1943, to Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Morton.

He was employed as a heavy equipment auctioneer. He recently returned to the United States after working in Turkey.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela S. Morton of Humble; daughter, Melody Page Morton of Houston; son, Thelton Calvert Morton III of Corpus Christi; mother, Mary Louise Morton of Lufkin; sisters, Mrs. Tim (Randa) Watson of Kilgore, Mrs. Abb (JoAnn) Roquemore of Lufkin and Mrs. Kenny (MariKay) Bean of Celina; stepsons, John C. Weig of Dallas and Jeffrey C. Weig of Humble; and three step-grandchildren.
