Services for Linna Christine Knox Vaughan, 60, of Palestine will be a 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2003 at Ferguson Cemetery with the Rev. A.L. Huddleston officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vaughan died Monday at Hospice Home Place in Tyler after a two-year battle with cancer.
She was born November 12, 1942 in Palestine to Elba and Lora Mae Burke Knox.
Mrs. Vaughan worked as a service manager for Montgomery Ward and later for the Texas Department of Human Services. She was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Everett Knox, in 1987; and a niece, Cyann Manley.
Mrs. Vaughan is survived by daughters, Charlene Watson and husband Matt of Palestine, Christie Beatty and husband James of Magnolia; son, Kevin Holcomb of Palestine; sister, Kay Starr of Angleton; sister-in-law, Mary Knox of Palestine; grandchildren, Sarah Collins, Chris Watson, Drew Watson, Kelly Beatty, Keanan Raines and Kyle Raines; and great-grandchildren, Bayleigh Collins and Hunter Warren.
