Services for Bertha Ramey, 47, of Jacksonville and formerly of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Renfro Memorial Chapel at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with the Rev. Tommy Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Muse Cemetery, near Slocum.

Mrs. Ramey died Wednesday in a Jacksonville hospital after a brief illness.  She was born December 28, 1942, in Palestine, a daughter of W.B. Davis and Ora Lee Davis. She worked as a customer service representative for E.D.S. in Jacksonville, and was a member of Muse Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ramey is survived by her husband, Billy F. Ramey of Jacksonville; a son, Randall Keith Ramey of Tyler; and her sisters, Alma Wescott of Livingston, Mrs. Willard Breathwit of Dickinson, Mrs. William Galloway of Palestine and Shirley Newson of Palestine.
