Services for T.E. Farris, Jr., 59, of Elkhart, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Muse Cemetery with Roger Pryor officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Palestine Masonic Lodge No. 31.

Mr. Farris died April 11, 2000 at his residence.  He was born January 25, 1941 in Palestine to Thurman Elmo and Mammie Bell Reid Farris Sr.

Mr. Farris worked as a correctional officer for Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He was a member of Palestine Masonic Lodge No. 31.  He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Farris is survived by his wife, Jean Farris of Elkhart; and his mother, Mammie Bell Reid Farris of Elkhart.
