Services for Palestine native Robert E. Caveness, 45, of Denver, Colorado, were Wednesday in Shreveport.

He died May 2 in Denver after a brief illness.  He was born in Palestine on October 13, 1941, a son of Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Caveness. He graduated from Palestine High School and the University of Texas. He was employed by Chrysler Corp. of Denver.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqui N. Caveness of Denver; his parents of Shreveport; a sister, Jane C. Woodard of Shreveport; two dughters, Manda Caveness and Melissa Caveness, both of Atlanta, Ga.; and a son, John E. Caveness of Atlanta, Ga.
