Keller — Larry Willis Blassingame, 63, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, went to be with his Lord Saturday, May 13, 2006. Services will be at12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Larry was born to Coy and Ila Blassingame on August 31, 1942 in Jacksonville, Texas. He grew up in Palestine, Texas and graduated from Palastine High School.

Larry attended North Texas State University where he was a member of the marching band. He graduated in 1964 with a major in Music Education. ” Mr. B” was a band director for more than 35 years and touched many lives.

Larry was a wonderful family man and a devout Christian. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Keller, Texas at the time of his death. His favorite verse is Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose.”

The family gives a special thank you to Dr. Schorn, Dr. Desoyza and staff of the Grapevine Dialysis Center.

He is survived by his loving wife of more than 43 years, Linda Pagitt Blassingame; son, Richard Erwin Blassingame; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Greg Harwell; sister and brother-in-law, Nelda and Richard Vaughan; mother-in-law, Lorine Pagitt Jenkins; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary Pagitt Timmons and Walton Pagitt; grandchildren, Mallory Harwell, Mason Harwell, Mitchell Blassingame, and Tyler Blassingame; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2315 N. Main St. Suite 320, Fort Worth, Texas 76106.
