Services for Wanda Joy Campbell, 81, Palestine, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine, with the Rev. Jay Abernathy officiating.

Burial will be in Guiceland Cemetery.

Mrs. Campbell died March 11, 2007, in Palestine.

She was born in Tennessee Colony to Algie and Vera Pettiette Steel. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a former Palestine schoolteacher with 36 years of service. She had been active in the Palestine City Library’s literacy program.

Survivors include her husband, Olan Campbell, Palestine; son, Steel Campbell, El Paso; brother, Hunter Steel, Palestine; two grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steel Campbell Jr., Austin Campbell, Mathew Cook, Grant Lassiter, Johnny Cook, Ashley Steel and Robbie Steel.

Honorary pallbearers will be the James Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
