Edwin Lockey 1943

Edwin Morris Lockey Jr. was born in Palestine on January 24, 1926 to Edwin and Odell Lockey. He passed away on November 20, 2009. After graduating from Palestine High School in 1943 Ed joined the Navy on his 18th birthday in January 1944 and served on the USS Makin Island during World War II. After the war, he graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas in 1950. He retired from Arco after 33 years of employment. He was a member and past commodore of the Corinthian Sailing Club for 35 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 1/2 years, Marion; two sons, Eddie and wife Jenny, Grant and wife Aundrea; two grandchildren, Hayden and Evee; and brother, Jimmy.

The viewing will be at Restland Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Bible Church at 400 W. Campbell Rd. in Richardson. The burial will be at DFW National Cemetery on Monday at 2:30 p.m.
