Services for Frank C. Moore, 80, of Palestine were at 3 p.m. today in the Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Stephen Holcombe officiating. Burial followed in Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mr. Moore died Wednesday in a local hospital.

He was born December 7, 1924 in Palestine to Frank C. Moore Sr. and Bessie California Brewer Moore.

Mr. Moore was a member of the North Jackson Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Pacific, North and South Atlantic theaters. He was a 1942 graduate of Palestine High School.

Mr. Moore had been a teller and loan officer of the First National Bank for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Alice Christian Moore of Palestine; two sons, Carrol Moore and wife Dorothy of Springfield, Mo. and David Moore and wife Linda of Round Rock; grandchildren, Michael and Kelly Moore of Palestine, Jennifer and Eddie Davenport of Chandler, Rebecca and Larry Mason of Gricignano, Italy, Susan and Kevin Menzie of Rogersville, Mo., April and Brian Strickler of Cincinnati, Ohio, Robert Moore of Round Rock, William and Alison Herrington of Austin and Mary and Jamie Purcell of Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Moore of Palestine, Samuel and Shelby Moore of Chandler, Nicholas, Brandon and Ethan Mason of Italy, Connor Menzie of Rogersville, Mo., and Ryley, Emmy and Ellie Purcell of Hamilton.

Honorary pallbearers were Joe Monk, Edith Deerman, Betty Overton and all employees of the First National Bank.
