Memorial services for Mrs. Pat Broughton, 81, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2007, in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Mike Hunter officiating.

She passed away Saturday, April 28, 2007, in a local hospital.  Mrs. Broughton was born May 30, 1925, in Palestine, Texas, the daughter of the late Mary Lee (Hinzie) and Clarence Krohn.

Mrs. Broughton was a homemaker, and a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Arnold Broughton of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Kathy Broughton of Austin and Scott and Laura Broughton of Lufkin; grandchildren, Allison Broughton and Brandon Broughton, both of Lufkin; and sister, Mrs. Betty Sherlock of Sacramento, California.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Angelina County, P. O. Box 472, Lufkin, Texas 75902.

The family will receive friends at Dr. Broughton’s residence.
