Graveside services for H. Darwin Hodges, 81, of Duncanville, and formerly of Palestine, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Palestine City Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Glenn officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mr. Hodges died Monday at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Duncanville.  He was born October 28, 1922 in Palestine to Hayden Judson and Hattie Belle Berry Hodges.

Mr. Hodges graduated from Texas A&M and was retired from Mobile Oil as a physicist. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the St. Paul Episcopal Church in Dallas.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Hodges is survived by his wife, June Shelton Hodges of Duncanville; and a sister, Jane Henderson and husband Bob of Palestine.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Henderson, Adam Henderson, Jay Henderson, Danny Unger, Daniel Unger, Joshua Unger, and Josiah Unger.
